Despite being warned to control his resentment, he leads his brother into a field and kills him. God confronts Cain and asks where Abel is, prompting one of the Bible’s most famous questions. It presents the Bible’s first murder and shows how uncontrolled anger destroys both its victim and the person who gives in to it.
