About this story
Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, has lived for years on a remote island with his daughter Miranda. Betrayed and driven from his home by his brother, Prospero has mastered powerful magic and commands a spirit named Ariel. When a ship carrying his former enemies passes nearby, he creates a violent storm and brings them safely onto the island. The survivors are separated and drawn into Prospero’s carefully arranged plan, while Miranda meets the young Prince Ferdinand and falls in love. At last, Prospero has the power to punish those who wronged him. But will he choose revenge, or discover that forgiveness offers a better ending?
