About this story

Prince Hamlet returns to Denmark after the sudden death of his father and discovers that his mother has already married his uncle Claudius, the new king. Then his father’s ghost appears with a terrible accusation: Claudius murdered him and stole the throne. Unsure whether the ghost can be trusted, Hamlet pretends to lose his mind while searching for proof. The royal court becomes a dangerous world of secrets, spying and deception, and Hamlet’s actions begin hurting the people closest to him, including the innocent Ophelia. As the truth emerges, Hamlet must decide whether to take revenge and accept the deadly consequences that may follow.

Gertrudis, reina de Dinamarca, quedó viuda cuando el rey Hamlet murió de forma repentina. Menos de dos meses después, se casó con Claudio, hermano del rey muerto. Muchos vieron ese matrimonio como algo extraño, cruel o incluso peor. Claudio no se parecía en nada a su difunto hermano: no tenía su porte ni su inteligencia, y además se le consideraba un hombre ruin y sin dignidad. Por eso, algunos sospechaban que había matado en secreto al rey para casarse con la reina y ocupar el trono, dejando a un lado al joven Hamlet, hijo del rey difunto y heredero legítimo de Dinamarca.

Gertrudis es la reina de Dinamarca. El rey Hamlet muere de repente, y Gertrudis queda viuda. Menos de dos meses después, Gertrudis se casa con Claudio, el hermano del rey muerto. Muchas personas ven esto como algo muy malo. Claudio no es como el rey Hamlet. No es bueno ni por fuera ni por dentro. Algunas personas creen que Claudio mata en secreto a su hermano. Creen que Claudio hace eso para casarse con Gertrudis y ser rey de Dinamarca. Así, el joven Hamlet, hijo del rey muerto, queda fuera del trono.
