About this story
A younger son asks his father for his inheritance and leaves home for a distant country. After wasting everything, he is left hungry and desperate during a famine. Realising how badly he has acted, he returns home prepared to become one of his father’s servants. Instead, his father welcomes him with joy and holds a celebration. The older brother, however, is angry that someone so irresponsible has been forgiven. The Prodigal Son is one of Jesus’s most famous parables, exploring regret, forgiveness, unconditional love and the resentment that mercy can produce in those who believe they deserve more.

Fiul risipitor · Scene 1El spune: „Un om are doi fii.
